About

I've always been drawn to things with weight and history — work and places where something real is on the line. It's fitting that my wife and I live in an old small town general store that's been standing for over a hundred years. It's true of how I grew up, too — close to the ground, in the woods and on the water, passionate about hunting, fishing, and farming.

That same pull toward what's real shows up in how I am with people. I care about them, genuinely and specifically, and I've always been able to read a room — not just what's being said, but what's underneath it. That's true whether I'm sitting with someone who's hurting or walking into a project that's quietly off the rails; I want to understand what's actually needed, not just what's being asked for.

It's that same instinct that lets me carry a lot — engineering, ministry, music — without it feeling like juggling. It's just what a full life looks like. Whatever I'm working on gets everything I have.

Engineering

I like complex problems where the path is not obvious. I tend to get oriented quickly, identify what matters, and then use technical work to turn a good direction into a solution I can defend. I care about the big picture as much as the details — understanding how a system actually works before I try to fix or improve any one piece of it.

Ministry

Ministry is people first for me. I lead, plan, organize, and solve plenty of operational problems, but all of that serves a more important purpose: caring for people and helping create space for them to experience the kind of grace and change Jesus has brought into my own life. The systems matter because they support the people; the people are the reason I care about getting the systems right.

Music

Music is one of the ways I connect with people. I love the craft of writing and shaping songs, but what draws me most is the chance to step into someone else's shoes, tell a story honestly, and make something that helps another person feel seen. The creative challenge matters to me, but the connection is the point.

Above all else, I follow Jesus. After that, I'm a husband — and I take both seriously.
